Funeral services for Doris E. Dubrule, age 90 of Ogdensburg will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday (May 16, 2017) at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Andrea Mericle and Pastor David Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow the service at the White Church Cemetery in Lisbon.

Calling hours will be held also on Tuesday from 9:30am until the time of the funeral at the funeral home. Mrs. Dubrule passed away on Friday (May 12, 2017) at the Riverledge Healthcare Facility surrounded by her loving family.

Surviving is her daughter Diane LaLonde & her husband Stephen of Ontario, NY; a son Edward Dubrule & his wife Judy of Dekalb, NY; two sisters Shirley Woodman of Heuvelton and Ruby Volans and her husband Dick of Ogdensburg; a brother John Cruikshank & his wife Cheryl of Lisbon; grandchildren, Carina Sehrai & her husband Masood of Oakville, Ontario; Scott Dubrule & his wife Brenda of Norfork, CT and Cathi Thume & her husband Steve of Altona, NY; eight great-grandchildren Iman, Riyah, Yusef, Anum & Humza Sehrai and Grace, Sadie & William Thume along with several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Her husband Edward Dubrule and a brother Wendell Cruikshank predeceased her.

Doris was born on March 19, 1927 in Lisbon NY, a daughter of the late Basil & Lila (Erwin) Cruikshank. She graduated from Lisbon High School and later married Edward J. Dubrule on July 9, 1946. She worked as an attendant at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center for a period, Cleveland Container as a laborer and later became a homemaker to raise her family.

Doris enjoyed singing and playing music, cooking, playing games with her children when they were young, gardening and spending time with her family.
