A celebration of life service for Donald W. Cyrus, age 62 of Ogdensburg will be held at a time to be announced at the Riverview Towers Community Room. Mr. Cyrus passed away on Nov 29, 2016 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Fox & Murray Funeral Home.

Surviving is his wife Judy; three daughters Lisa Bishop of Port St. Luci FL, Mildred "Gena" Bendickson of Oxbow NY and Shannon Besaw & her companion Steve Parody of Theresa NY; 13 grandchildren Anthony Moore of Watertown,...

Surviving is his wife Judy; three daughters Lisa Bishop of Port St. Luci FL, Mildred "Gena" Bendickson of Oxbow NY and Shannon Besaw & her companion Steve Parody of Theresa NY; 13 grandchildren Anthony Moore of Watertown, Megan (Chris) Wilson of Theresa, Shyanne Parody & her companion Ryan Sawyer of Watertown, Tara Parody, Kassy Parody, Heather Parody, Steven Parody Jr. and Jasmine (David) Minor, Aiden Bendickson, Isaiah Bendickson; 5 great-grandchildren; five sisters Carolyn (David) Peck of North Carolina, Linda Thomas of Gouverneur, Patricia Shoen of Massena, Donna (Dale) Thomas of DePeyster and Tammy Cyrus of Malone; two brothers Richard Cyrus of Ogdensburg and Albert Cyrus of Massena; along with many nieces, nephews & cousins.

A brother Raymond Cyrus Jr. predeceased him.

Donald was born on November 16, 1954 in Gouverneur NY, a son of the late Raymond Sr. & Lula (Kio) Cyrus. He graduated from Gouverneur High School, and later married Judith Dedrick on February 14, 1981.

During his career he worked construction in Florida and later relocated back to the North Country where he worked at Hutchinson Boat Works in Alex Bay until becoming disabled. He was a former member of the Ogdensburg Senior Citizen Club and enjoyed playing "World of War Craft" on the computer, watching TV, fishing, hunting and his cat "Baby Girl".
