Funeral Services for Catherine R. Dishaw, age 73 of Ogdensburg, will be held privately for her family on Friday (Dec 2, 2016) at Foxwood Memorial Park with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Mrs. Dishaw passed away on Nov 23, 2016 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center. Arrangements are with the Fox & Murray Funeral Home.

Surviving are her children Christopher Dishaw & his wife Mary Ellen of Ogdensburg, Patricia Seguin & her husband Philip of Ogdensburg and Deborah Keith & her companion Clayton Shampine of Norwood; grandchildren Christopher Dishaw, Michael Dishaw, Benjamin Seguin, Noel Marie Seguin, Jonathan Keith & Daniel Keith & his wife Erin; along with three great-grandchildren Jordyn Keith, Tanner Keith & Morgan Keith.

Catherine was born on July 25, 1943 in Buffalo NY, a daughter of the late Robert & Ruth (Grutzman) Gerecke. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1961 and later married Douglas "Dan" Dishaw on November 11, 1962 in Cumberland Head NY. He predeceased her on Aug 11, 2016.

After her marriage she lived in Turkey for 2 years while her husband was in the military. She later relocated to Ogdensburg where she was employed as a therapy aide at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center for 21 years. She later became a nurse's aide at the United Helpers Cedars Nursing Home until 1996 when she retired.
